Massage Therapy Continuing Education and Workshops

The Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy is privileged to offer a variety of workshops that allow students, graduates, physical therapist, chiropractors, physical therapy assistance, athletic trainers, oriental medicine doctors, nurses, other health care providers and graduates/students of other approved programs around the country to enhance and diversify their skills.  This is in addition to our core program.  These workshops are offered at different times of the year.  

2011 CONTINUING EDUCATION WORKSHOPS

Oncology Massage 2-Day Workshops

This nationally accredited course prepares touch practitioners, such as massage therapists, aestheticians, and healthcare professionals with the knowledge to provide safe and clinically-effective bodywork for people living with cancer, taught by Johnnette DuRand

March  5th-6th, 2011 ~ Class Time 9am-5pm   (14 CE Hours)

and

June  25th-26th, 2011 ~ Class Time 9am-5pm   (14 CE Hours)

and

October 22nd-23rd, 2011 ~ Class Time 9am-5pm   (14 CE Hours)

Professional Development Workshops

 A 4-6 hour  workshop where students will gain valuable experience and feedback with regards to business practices, professionalism, and ethics.  Students can use this opportunity to increase confidence, develop people skills, polish techniques and style, as well as prepare for dealing with clients when starting their own practice.
