CREDENTIALS APPROVAL DISCLOSURE STATEMENT The Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy is approved to operate by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education pursuant to California Education Code Section 94311. Any such approval does not constitute or imply an endorsement or recommendation by the State or by the Bureau. The Bureau's approval means that the institution and its operation comply with the standards established under the law for occupational instruction by private postsecondary educational institutions. The following courses are approved: Professional Therapeutic and Sports Massage Therapist (PTSMT) Course - 1000 Hours Professional Massage Therapist (PMT) Course - 500 Hours Instruction is held in a spacious, 3900 square foot facility which accommodates 50 students at any one time. Maximum enrollment in massage therapy technique classes is 24 students. Since half of the students practice massage methods while the other half receive massage, the functional teacher student ratio in technique classes is 1:12. In lecture style classes, the maximum enrollment is 35 students. A diploma is awarded to students who satisfactorily complete the requirements of a course of study. We encourage prospective students to visit the school and discuss personal, educational, and occupational plans with us as they consider enrollment in our school. The Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy has been approved by the Employment Development Department and the California Department of Rehabilitation. The school is listed and approved by the Southern California Regional Training Vendor Directory servicing Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and Trade Readjustment Allowances (TRA) clients. The Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy has satisfied all of the criteria put forth by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and is an approved provider for Category A Continuing Education Programming and the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC). The Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) - Council of Schools.
