Teri Rogers, Instructor

June 23rd - 25th, 2008
Mon. - Weds., 8 am to 5 pm (3 days)

5,000 years old - This ancient healing art is still being practiced today in the temples and hospitals in the cities of Thailand, as well as in the most remote islands and hilltribe villages. Traditional Thai Massage opens up blockages, frees the energy meridians, promotes circulation and lymphatic flow, as well as increasing flexibility and range of motion. This yoga-style massage is also excellent for the therapist in using leverage techniques and many alternate body parts,
saving the hands and back.

Often referred to as the "Lazy Man's Yoga", Traditional Thai Massage is traditionally done on a mat, with the clothes on and no oils. For this class however, we have created a very special protocol to be performed on the table - spa-style. With all of the rhythm and grace of the traditional old world style - this treatment will also be performed clothed - and can be adapted for anywhere between a ½ hour and a 1-1/2 hour treatment. It was designed specifically with the therapist in mind as well, since our health and body awareness as professionals should also be a prime factor. This massage should prove to be a winner for the spas and when done properly should feel almost as good go give it - as it is to receive it!
